Valentine's Day

First off, Happy Valentine's Day!

Second, I have two posts today and one from yesterday, so keep scrolling! The one yesterday is a VIDEO :)

This year was Samuel's first Valentine's Day. We were super busy, so Ben and I actually had our date the Saturday before. We went to Black Angus and got some yummy steak. On Tuesday I finally got home for the day around 7, and to my surprise, Ben had cooked crab legs for dinner and had laid out a beautiful candle light dinner. Samuel had fallen asleep in the car, so it was a perfect Valentine's dinner- quiet and intimate.

Since this year was Samuel's first Valentine's Day, we made valentines that were especially from him. They read "I love you from the bottom of my heart to the tips of my toes" and they have his foot prints on them :) It was a fun way to make valentines personal but to also have a little memory of his tiny feet. Unfortunately I could only get him to sit through four foot printings, so only his Grandmas and Mommy and Daddy got valentines this year :) Oh well, it was fun though!

I also lucked out and found a "valentines" outfit on clearance the week before. I put it in quotes because I don't think it is really a valentines outfit, but it was on the same rack with everything else so I think it was supposed to be. It says "Junior Varsity Hunk" and it's red with brown pants and a little monkey on the shirt. But, the greatest part is that is was only $5! for BOTH parts of the outfit! It was regularly $22, so I felt pretty proud of myself :) Anyways, we had a great Valentine's Day, and we hope you did too!

  1. He is such a cute baby!! We need to get together again! Brigham doesn't say Mama yet, I think he has once or twice, but ALWAYS says Dada! I'm a little jealous! Yay Samuel for saying Mama!!
